Malaysia

Recycling, Environment, Energy

2019 - 2029

Target group:

waste management/ recycling plant

Highlights:

Optimization of the degree of automation and the recycling rate by using innovative measuring technologies (100% by aoloa)

Know-How:

Multiple sensors (wireless and wired), Real-time measurement platform by aoloa transmission technologies: BT, Wifi, TCP/IP, LoRaWAN, Mesh, PLC

Situation

The storage and processing of large quantities of waste (domestic and abroad) has become a core problem in Malaysia which is almost impossible to deal with. The need for innovative approaches to process waste as effectively as possible and with the lowest possible environmental impact is correspondingly high. Recycling plays a crucial role in this. Our subsidiary aoloa T&I (Technology & Innovation) supports Borneo Waste Industries with technical know-how in the development of the most modern recycling plant in Asia by 2030.

Challenges

Since there is no waste separation in Malaysia, all waste is collected and stored unsorted in landfills. The sorting and further processing is mainly done manually and the separation of organic material from the inorganic material as well as the differentiation of the raw materials in terms of quality, material and processing possibilities is only possible to a very limited extent. Some materials cannot be separated at all or only insufficiently. This process is very slow and involves a high burden on the workforce and should therefore be automated as far as possible.

Aoloa solution

In order to enable partial automation of the processes and to reduce the burden on the workers, measurement data is first collected along the entire recycling process, which can then be analyzed in real time. We are going to do this in three steps.

Step 1: Use innovative measurement technology to generate a data network.

Step 2:Distinguish between high-quality raw materials and less era, which cannot be further processed.Müll, der nicht weiterverarbeitet werden kann.

Step 3: Distinction between inorganic and organic substancesIn the background, our AI algorithms work to constantly analyze processes and identify and optimize possible vulnerabilities.
